06.04 Voting

The voting process is the easiest thing to exist in the United States. To vote in Florida you have to be at least 18 years of age. You must be a United States citizen. Also you must be a resident in the state in which you are voting. In Florida you may not have any mental problems that would make you incapacitated to voting. Furthermore, in Florida you could not have been convicted of a felony. You have to provide your Florida driver’s license or your Florida identification card. In my community you are assigned a certain area to go register at based on your address and you must go to the one that they provide to you. You may not vote anywhere else but where they tell to you. Right now we don’t have many election dates coming up in my community. However in other nearby states such as TX there election date is May 29, 2012. To vote in CA on June 5, 2012 you must have registered by May 21, 2012. This blog will informs others on things they don’t know. It will encourage other to vote by showing them how easy it is to vote and what a powerful outcome it has. Voting is very important because it’s the one day in the year where everyone is considered equal. You may feel as if your vote doesn’t count but it does. After voting many people experience a sense of power. It is important for younger people to vote because they have to leave with the consequences longer than anyone else. I think the voting registration procedures are fine the way they are, it can’t get any simpler than that. I think voting should become mandatory, that may we have many more votes based on what the people wants. Get out there and vote, every vote counts. If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything!
